Private Lessons

KHCS offers private instruction in piano, voice, flute, brass (trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba), and violin. Students are taught one-on-one during the school day (missing no academic instruction) or before or after school. The program consists of 30 private lessons, either 30 or 45-minute segments once per week, and is customized to the individual student’s abilities and needs. These private lessons are designed to enhance technical skills, artistic development, knowledge of music theory, and overall musicianship. Students who take private lessons are given the opportunity to perform in festivals and assessments through the National Federation of Music Clubs and the National Piano Guild, as well as competing in fine arts events through the Georgia Association of Christian Schools and at nationals through the American Association of Christian Schools. Students also have a variety of other outlets for performance, including annual recitals, school concerts, chamber groups, and other ensembles.
