Letter From the Head of School

As the Head of School at KHCS, I am grateful to be able to serve our dedicated team of professional educators and staff committed to influencing the lives of all our students with a biblical worldview. In addition, it is a joy to serve our KHCS families who are so passionate about the same educational causes that are important to us.

Before assuming my ministry at KHCS, I enjoyed 30 years of serving as the Head of School at two schools in Georgia, one in Rhode Island, and one in Connecticut. In each school, it has been a joy to see students grow in their faith and to see so many former students now serving as leaders in a wide variety of careers. There is simply no greater joy than to see children walk in God’s truth and as children transition into adulthood, the joy of seeing that growth increases exponentially.

KHCS MISSION STATEMENT
Killian Hill Christian School is a ministry of Killian Hill Baptist Church that exists to assist parents in their God-given responsibilities to educate and form their children by

providing a high-quality, well-rounded, balanced program grounded in a biblical worldview and expressed through Christ-centered beliefs, practices, and standards of conduct.

MAINTAINING A STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE
Recently recognized as the second-best private high school in Gwinnett County, Killian Hill Christian School has been serving our community as an outreach of Killian Hill Baptist Church since 1972. KHCS is a fully accredited K-12 college-preparatory school serving hundreds of students on a beautiful 27-acre campus. Our goal is to promote individual and corporate spiritual vitality through sound biblical instruction, academic rigor, worthy scholarship, and wide achievement. This results in exceptional preparation for our students' college careers and life experiences.

Balanced fine arts and athletic programs complement our focus on proper self-discipline and worthy character. Highly credentialed and caring faculty teach every subject from a biblical foundation for each student’s personal development.  Many students say KHCS is their home away from home because their teachers care deeply about them and are involved in their lives.  Visit us on the Hill through an Open House visit and see that Training Scholars, Making Disciples, and Graduating Leaders is more than a motto; it is something we strive to accomplish for God’s glory and your child’s individual achievement.

Training Scholars (Colossians 3:23-24): KHCS Graduates obtain an excellent, well-rounded academic and extracurricular education, which they use to pursue their career passions and aspirations with excellence.

Making Disciples (Matthew 28:19-20): KHCS Graduates are disciples of Jesus Christ, living out their professional and personal lives in humility, character, and servant-leadership, with a desire to fulfill the Great Commission in spreading the Gospel to the world.

Graduating Leaders (Matthew 23:11-12): KHCS Graduates are equipped with the tools (both knowledge and understanding) to pursue their passions, leading their workforce and communities with strong Christ-like character and a servant-leadership mindset. Our graduates take ownership of the local church and desire to lead both current and future generations through their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Killian Hill Christian School is an accredited member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is accredited by the Cognia Global Commission, which includes the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Our accreditation is recognized by both the University System of Georgia and the Georgia Board of Regents.
