"The first word that I think of when I think of the education I received at Killian Hill is well-rounded. At KHCS, education means a great deal more than just academics. It means working towards the central goal of glorifying Christ by shining in areas such as fine arts and sports as well as in the classroom. Thanks to the caring faculty and administration, students graduate from Killian Hill prepared to excel in every area of life for the glory of God. "

"KHCS has certainly prepared me for the step to college level academics and given me a quality education, but it has also been a place that has strengthened my walk with God. Because it pushes beyond merely being nominally Christian to truely being devoted to the Savior and to His glory, it challenged me as a student to do the same. The presence of Bible classes, chapels, leadership camps, and dedicated teachers all give Christ and His purpose the preeminence. The encouragement for growth not only as a student but also as a believer has been a tremendous impact on my relationship with God and shown me the need to place Him first as Lord of my life."

The academic pressure as a whole (tests, quizzes, reading, etc all in one night) prepares a person for the rigors of college work.

Also, the content in courses such as history and English brought me right up to the level I needed to be at for college.

The level of the education I received was clearly realized when I taught my English professor the 13 comma rules. I was able to make my point that I was due a 100% score rather than the 93% mark I had been given on my first college grammar test. (there may be grammatical errors above- please ignore them for the moment) I felt well prepared for the changes that college presented, and I have to believe that KHCS had something to do with not only my level of self confidence but also the manner in which I am able to present myself to employers.

Killian Hill Christian School emphazises fine arts and sports equally creating a well-rounded atmosphere for a proper education. The academic workload and expectations of the teachers helped to prepare me for my  college education.

Dear School Administration,

Our children have been enrolled since August 1986.

Our children have grown “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” through the faithful instruction of the faculty and administration of KHCS. We are thankful we were introduced to this school when making a decision where our children were going to attend.

KHCS has been a blessing to our entire family and I believe it will carry blessings to our grandchildren and into eternity. The eternal value of investing in our children’s education, through Christian schooling, is a better return than any other investment. We are seeing maturity in the life choices in our KHCS graduates and believe we will continue to see more maturity as they raise their own families in Christian schools in years to come.

Thank you KHCS Administration and Faculty for all your faithful service to the Lord. Thank you for shaping our children to seek the Lord in all things.

We appreciate all of you at KHCS!

Dear Killian Hill Teachers,

Hello, everyone! I graduated back in 2006 and am a sophomore at Brenau Women's College this fall. I wanted to tell Mr. Dan Totten, "Thank you a million times over for the rigorous English classes" I had with him. I finished my first year with a 4.0 GPA at the top of both of my Honors English classes. In addition, in January I become an English tutor at Brenau's Writing Center where I help tutor other students on writing assignments for their classes. Similarly, this semester will be my first year as a course tutor, and I will be paid to take a class and be the sole tutor for that class. I know this would not have been possible were it not for Killian Hill. I wish I had the email addresses for everyone that taught me at Killian Hill, but since I do not, please forward this to my teachers, "THANK YOU!" God Bless! Sincerely,

Brittany Long

Dear Mr. Dawson

"The purpose of this email was to convey my deepest gratitude for running KHCS. Simply put, my college experience was made much easier because the majority of my life was spent at Killian Hill. Please forward this email to all the teachers mentioned below. If some are not mentioned, it's not because I don't like them or didn't learn anything from them or they didn't affect me at all. I only left out those I never had in Middle or High School.

In my Valedictorian speech, I made a statement similar to the following:

Because of your [You and Mr. Williams] hard work, I can honestly say that I loved going to this school, and it will never be the same not going to Killian Hill. I am excited and eager about going to college, but this school was my life for the past 8 years. This school has tremendously impacted my thinking process and motivated me to live the life of a Christian.

I am writing to support those sentences and express my gratitude for running Killian Hill the way it is run. This doesn't mean I particularly like everything about it (i.e. certain rules) but I simply abide by them and life is much sweeter. I found out early in life that the easiest way to not get in trouble and not be punished is to not do wrong in the first place. Don't complain just follow the rules and life will be easier. No amount of words could express just how much I love Killian Hill and the opportunities it offers. The preparation I have received far surpasses that which my classmates have received. From Bible class to Government class, and Speech class to Science class I think I have received one of the best high school educations offered today.

I not only love the education that Killian Hill provides but also nearly every other thing about that place. I would wake up in the morning and could not wait to get to school to see my friends---peers and faculty. Last year, during the first two weeks, I would look forward to right after lunch all day because that was when my Greek class was scheduled. However, I not only wanted to study the language but also talk to you about class that day or Greek that you remembered or something else. That was a quite different attitude than my 7th grade year. I remember I was horrifed of all teachers, particularly the administration just because they were the law. I think that's a good thing: fear of the law. But throughout the rest of my high school career, I learned that administration and faculty are much more than the law. They have massive capabilities to be friends as well. The specific references below to teachers I all consider my friends: people I can talk to about everything on any day. I abolutely loved Killian Hill.

Thank you, Mr. Dawson, for becoming a true friend. The even tht really sparked my interest with you was sitting with you the first time at Senior Camp. You told the story of the guys who went fishing and one guy was dragged to the bottom of the sea. I still get chills when I think of that story. By the way, I don't know if you have yet but be sure to tell the Seniors all the stories you told us: particularly the one where you slammed your shoes together and walked out of the church or when someone kept yelling "Jesus Christ!!" at a ball game and you yelling back "Where? Where is He?" That was such a good story and I wish I had that boldness.

I could go on and on and on about how much I loved my high school, but time nor my vocabulary could ever express how greatful I am. I encourage you and every other faculty member to stick with it and keep it up. Continue to make similar impacts on other students that attend KHCS now. They will be better off because they went to Killian Hill."

"The Lord first directed us to Killian Hill Christian School back in 1986.  We have had three children graduate and our fourth is currently enrolled in 5th grade.  All three graduates obtained academic, leadership and fine arts scholarships to their respective universities.  Our oldest is in his first year of seminary with a music scholarship.  The academics, fine arts and sports programs at KHCS prepared them all to succeed in college, but we are primarily thankful for the Bible-centered, spiritual education they received.  The staff and teachers helped instill a love for God's Word in addition to what they learned at church and in our home.  They still remember lessons about heaven from kindergarten!  Recently our daughter went through a life-threatening illness, some of her former teachers were among the first ones to arrive with visits, prayer and encouragement -- they truly care and live out their faith.  We are so thankful for the ministry of Killian Hill Christian School."

KHCS has been the best gift that we have ever given our children.  As a family coming from a public school environment, and always feeling like "something" was lacking in the level of education that they were receiving, we felt very fortunate to be able to move them to KHCS where their educational experiences could be given the proper balance of high quality academics, supervised extra-curricular activities and spiritual guidance.  I also know that when I leave the children at school each morning, that they are in the safest of hands, and that I don't have to worry for a moment about their safety.  As long as we live in this area, our children will attend KHCS.

It was always a dream of ours to have our child attend a good, solid and affordable private Christian school. We proudly enrolled our daughter into KHCS (kindergarten) in 2001. It has been truly the best decision we could of ever made!!! She has continuously had the balance of love and Christ, while learning challenging day-to-day academics. KHCS has an exceptional staff and only employs the “best of the best” teachers. We have also made a group of wonderful and lifelong friends. We have always been impressed with the fine arts and academic programs, the extra-curricular activities, the exceptionally caring and safe environment that this school offers my child and the others on a daily basis, the unique dynamics of the families, and mostly the love for God and Jesus Christ that is displayed by everyone here at the school. As each school year goes by, our school gets better and better! Our daughter enjoys and looks forward to coming to school each and every day and is continuously challenged by her teachers on the level that she requires. Each child deserves the opportunity to be challenged. Your child will not get that in a public school atmosphere. The KHCS teachers are the best!! Most importantly, our child enjoys her chapel and prayer time that the school offers her.

If you are considering having your child attend Killian Hill Christian School, you have made a very good choice. We welcome you and your child with open arms!
