By Who's Opinion?
Killian Hill Christian School offers a top-notch education experience. Parents believe it. Students experience it. Faculty and staff provide it. Alumni testify to it year after year. While insiders affirming the educational quality of KHCS programs are satisfying; obtaining confirmation from objective outsiders is also vital to our continued success.
That's what the upcoming accreditation process is all about. SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools located in Decatur, GA) states, "The accreditation process asks institutions and systems to critically evaluate their vision, strategies, priorities, leadership, programs and resources. The process of earning and maintaining accreditation provides institutions and educational systems with clear and compelling direction for implementing changes to move toward excellence."
KHCS has been state accredited through GAPSAC for many years allowing for complete freedom for our graduates to pursue any college or university, but in order to gain a broader, more publically recognized accreditation; steps have been taken to secure regional accreditation through the private agency of SACS. "Regional accreditation is the 'gold standard'; it is the highest accreditation possible. It is the obvious next step for KHCS." explains High School Principal, Doug Dawson.
