TRYOUT INFORMATION

ELEMENTARY ATHLETICS

Junior league basketball provides an opportunity for the 4th - 7th grade students to get involved in athletic activities. The format for this program provides an opportunity for both boys and girls (on separate teams) to compete. Games are scheduled for Saturday mornings and the season runs for six weeks. Sixth grade boys and girls are allowed to play on the Junior High Soccer team.

JR/SR HIGH ATHLETICS

Killian Hill Chistian School is a member of the Georgia Christain Athletic Association (GCAA). The Georgia Christian Athletic Association is the athletic division of the Georgia Association of Christian Schools. It was established in 1972 and operates under the by-laws of GACS. The purpose of GCAA, is "to teach Christian athletics and build Christian character through Christ-centered competition and regulate such inter-scholastic relationships through and by a governing body composed of its own member schools."

GCAA schools participate in a variety of sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, golf, and other sports where there is sufficient demand. For competition purposes, most sports are divided into regions to minimize traveling distances to games, playoffs, and tournaments. Regional championships are determined leading to state championships through playoffs or tournaments.

Some Jr High sports are played as independent or within a metro Atlanta middle school league. Killian has the following sports available for students:

Fall - Coed Golf, Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball, Boys JV and Varsity Soccer
Winter - Cheerleading, JV and Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball
Spring - Varsity Boys Baseball, Junior High and Varsity Girls Soccer
